Bowl Ontario Tenpin Adult Singles Tournament

Format

The Tournament is open to all bowers bowling in an Adult League in a Bowl Ontario Tenpin Centre and will consist of four (4) games. This is a handicap tournament based on 100% of the difference between the bowler’s average and 240. The bowler(s) with the highest score including handicap will be declared the winner(s). Any YBC bowlers that also bowl in an Adult league will receive scholarship in place of cash.

Entry Fee

The entry fee is $50.00 per bowler, ($29.00 lineage, $2.00 expenses, $19.00 Prize Fund). Prizes awarded 1 in 5 entries.

OPTIONAL: Scratch Total Pinfall - $10.00, with 1 in 5 entries paid out.

The Tournament is open to all non-YBC bowlers bowling in an Adult League in a Bowl Ontario Tenpin Centre and will consist of four (4) games. Game 1 will be 8-pin no-tap, Game 2 will be 9-pin no-tap, Game 3 will be 3-6-9 (strikes in 3rd, 6th & 9th frames), and Game 4 will be a regular game. This will be a handicap tournament based on 100% of the difference between the bowler’s average and 240. The bowler(s) with the highest score including handicap will be declared the winner.

Entry Fee

YBC Doubles Tournament

Format

The tournament is open is all YBC bowlers and will consist of four (4) games. There are no divisions and teams can consist of female, male, or one (1) female & one (1) male. If, a Bantam bowler wants to bowl with a Junior or Senior, or a Junior with a Senior, because there are no divisions it will be allowed. Since, we may have some of our YBC leagues with 1 bowler in a division this makes it possible for them to bowl as well. This will be a handicap tournament based on 100% of the difference between the bowler's average and 220.

Entry Fee

The entry fee is $90.00 per team ($45.00 per youth bowler), ($54.00 lineage, $4.00 expenses, and $32.00 scholarship).  Scholarships will be awarded with 1 in 5 entries (teams).

YBC Combo Tournament

Format

This tournament is a handicap tournament based on 100% of the difference between bowler's average and 220. It will consist of 4 games in 3 divisions, Bantam, Junior and Senior. Game 1 will be 8-pin no tap, Game 2 will be 9-pin no tap, Game 3 will be 3-6-9 (strikes in 3rd, 6th & 9th frames) and Game 4 will be a regular game.

Entry Fee

This entry fee is $45.00 ($27.00 lineage, $2.00 expenses & $16.00 scholarship fund. 1 in 5 entries per division will be awarded a scholarship. (Example, if there are 5 entries in Bantam, than 1 scholarship will be awarded in that division, if there are 12 entries in Senior than 2 scholarships will be awarded in that division).

Competitor's Information

Welcome to the 55th Annual Provincial Finals of the Youth Bowl Canada Tenpin National Championships. You can be proud of your achievement and we hope that you will represent your Home Bowling Centre in a manner befitting a champion.

All bowlers at the Provincial Finals will be competing to determine the six (6) bowlers (1 per age division and category) that will represent Southern Ontario at the National YBC Tenpin Championships in Winnipeg, Manitoba from May 4 to 6, 2026, with travel dates being May 3 and May 7.

While the level of pressure and exhilaration will no doubt be very high, here are a few important rules to remember:

  1. All competitors will bowl 6 games.
  2. Any unusual behavior, incident or medical problem should be reported to a Tournament Official IMMEDIATELY.
  3. There is zero tolerance for foul language and gestures.
  4. The possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages, smoking, vaping or the use of any non-prescribed drugs or stimulants will not be allowed AT ANY TIME during the course of the entire tournament.
  5. Competitors are responsible for the marking of correct scores. After each frame each competitor should make sure that the automatic scorer has recorded the proper score. Any dispute must be reconciled before play is continued, by calling the Judge of Play. Scorekeeping by spectators will not be taken into consideration. Please notify the Judge of Play immediately if any errors occur with the scorer.
  6. During the competition, bowlers must be ready to take their turn without having to be called. Bowlers may not leave the playing area unless permission has been received from the Judge of Play or a Tournament Official.
  7. Bowlers are expected to obey all rules of Youth Bowl Canada and adhere to the fundamentals of good sportsmanship conduct.
  8. Violation of any rule could mean immediate disqualification and/or suspension.

Format

Six (6) games will be bowled by all competitors. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the first, second and third place finishers in each age division and category (Boys and Girls) based on total scratch (no handicap) pinfall. All Provincial Champions (Gold medal recipients) will advance to the National Championships held May 4 – 6, 2026 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

YBC Ontario Twosome

Format

The YBC Ontario Twosome will consist of six (6) games in each of the six (6) divisions. The SCOTCH DOUBLES SYSTEM will be utilized whereby the Youth bowler and Adult partner alternate in delivering the ball down the lane throughout the ten (10) frames of a game, with the youth bowler starting each game.

Entry Fee

The entry fee is $60.00 per team, ($42.00 lineage, $2.00 expenses, $16.00 scholarship). Scholarships will be awarded 1 in 5 per division. (Example, if there are 5 entries in Bantam Class 1 then 1 scholarship will be awarded in that division. If there are 12 entries in Senior Class 2 then 2 scholarships will be awarded in that division).
