YBC Combo Tournament

Format

This tournament is pins-over-average and will consist of 4 games in 3 divisions, Bantam, Junior and Senior. Game 1 will be 8-pin no tap, Game 2 will be 9-pin no tap, Game 3 will be 3-6-9 (strikes in 3rd, 6th & 9th frames) and Game 4 will be a regular game.

Entry Fee

This entry fee is $40.00 ($26.00 lineage, $1.00 expenses & $13.00 scholarship fund. 1 in 5 entries per division will be awarded a scholarship. (Example, if there are 5 entries in Bantam, than 1 scholarship will be awarded in that division, if there are 12 entries in Senior than 2 scholarships will be awarded in that division).

Rules & Regulations

  • The Bowl Ontario Tenpin YBC Combo Tournament is open to all Youth bowlers who are registered with YBC and who has bowled a minimum of 12 games as of October 20. 2024.
  • YBC members are not permitted to enter this tournament more than once.
  • ALL general playing rules of the Canadian Tenpin Federation (CTF) will be in effect where YBC rules are not specified.
  • Bowlers MUST provide average sheet with their entry.
  • All scores and / or averages will be checked and authenticated.  Any falsification or misrepresentation of scores and / or averages, knowingly or unknowingly, will result in immediate disqualification.
  • In the event of a tie or ties a one-game roll-off will be held with the highest score including handicap being declared the winner(s).
  • PROTEST RULE – Protests at any level of the competition shall be brought to the attention of the Tournament Director immediately upon the infraction. If, no satisfactory decision can be reached at this point, the protest is to be submitted in writing to Bowl Ontario Tenpin within forty-eight (48) hours of said tournament.
  • DRESS RULE – YBC Bowlers and Coaches must be attired in a YBC identified bowling shirt* or a shirt with a collar. Bottom portion is relaxed, no track / jogging pants, no jeans with rips, tears or holes and non-revealing shorts or skirts.  It is intended that bowlers will be modest and respectful.
  • No hats, caps, or any type of headgear, unless required for medical of religious reasons.

*NOTE:  A YBC identified bowling shirt shall be any garment, regardless of style, make, fabric or color that covers the upper portion of the body, providing one of the following graphics is screened or embroidered on the back or front of the shirt, and providing the shirt is issued and / or approved by the Bowling Centre:  THE OFFICIAL YBC LOGO or THE NAME OF THE BOWLING CENTRE or LEAGUE.

Bowlers who fail to adhere to these rules may not be allowed to compete.

  • In case of dispute, the decision of the Tournament Director and / or Committee shall be final.
