Format
3-person Team made up of Female, Male or Mixed. 12 games will be bowled with each Bowler throwing 3 or 4 frames per game. Bowler 1 throws frames 1, 4, 7 & 10, Bowler 2 throws frames 2, 5 & 8, and Bowler 3 throws frames 3, 6 & 9. The line-up must be changed prior to the start of each game, with the 1st bowler moving into the anchor position, the 2nd bowler moving into the lead-off position & the rest of the bowlers moving up 1 position. Teams will be disqualified if the line-up is not changed after each game. If, a Bowler bowls out of turn it will be considered a dead ball. If, a Bowler cannot finish they will receive 0 (zero) for any subsequent frames in all remaining games. Each team will bowl the entire game on 1 lane & then move 1 lane right for the next game. Substitutions will be accepted for medical reasons at the start of the next game through the approval of the tournament director.
Rules
All general playing rules of the Canadian Tenpin Federation (CTF) will be in effect, where Bowl Ontario Tenpin rules are not specified.
Entering average will be the Bowler’s Highest League average with a minimum 21 games as of April 7, 2024. If, you do not have the minimum 21 games than you must use your 2022-23 highest yearbook average. Proof of Average must accompany the entry form.
The tournament is open to any adult league bowler aged 18 & over currently bowling in an Adult league in a Bowl Ontario Centre. This is a Pins-Over-Average tournament.
All averages will be verified, if any average submitted is found lower than the actual average, the team may be disqualified. If, submitted average is higher than actual, the submitted average will be used. It is the responsibility of each bowler to verify their average prior to the start of the tournament.
In the event of a tie or ties for any prize position, the positions will be pooled and split evenly amongst both teams.
Any protests must be submitted in writing to Bowl Ontario Tenpin within forty-eight (48) hours.
The Dress Code for this tournament shall be a Bowling shirt, no t-shirts, track or track type pants will NOT be allowed. Hats, Caps or any other type of headgear, unless required for medical or religious reasons will not be allowed. This is an Ontario Provincial Event.
Entries close on Friday, April 19, 2024. Re-entries into Sunday will be allowed if space permits, but you must enter before the end of the shift on Saturday. Teams can only cash once.
